On Nov. 5, CSIC GM Paul Sun Bo met China Shipping (Group) Company Vice GM Ding Nong and his party, and attended the steel cutting ceremony together for four 308,000 DWT VLCCs constructed for China Shipping Oil Tanker Transport Co., Ltd. by DSIC.
Paul Sun Bo expressed his thanks to China Shipping for their care and substantial support of CSIC development as always. He pointed out, under the severe situation of continual depression of shipping market, China Shipping persists in restructuring, transformation and upgrade to have realized sustainable and stable development. CSIC would further enhance communications with China Shipping, collaborate closely and advance jointly so as to promote international competiveness of both shipping industry and shipbuilding industry to growth against trend constantly. Sun requested DSIC should, adhering to quality first and customer oriented, aimed at high-quality and high-performance vessels, go all out to complete construction of these 4 VLCCs and deliver the satisfactory products to China Shipping.
Ding Nong expressed, China Shipping has taken effective countermeasure to improve fleet structure in the profound adjusting period of shipping market. Our stable and healthy development achieved has benefitted from sustainable and deepening cooperation with CSIC. Especially in recent years, China Shipping has maintained good partnership with DSIC under CSIC and gained great achievements in many projects. He wishes the two parties would continue such closer cooperation for mutual warmth, strive for more extensive cooperations in more and more realms, and take an active part in the international market so as to realize mutual benefit and win win.
