A few days ago, when having finished hoisting A3 packaged module on board for shipment at its Quay No.3 successfully, DSIC Shipping Co. delivered the last packaged module to the owner MODEC on schedule in accordance with the master contract of MV 27(FPSO), marking a decisive victory of entire project achieved, which has demonstrated the ability of DSIC Shipping Co. employees to play and win tough fight fearlessly, inspired their morale and strengthened their confidence greatly.
DSIC Shipping Co. has received the project of MV 27(FPSO) top module as its first offshore module construction, for which there are strict requirements in the technology, quality, safety and production organization, in addition, there is a relatively short time for preliminary preparation, with great difficulties in launching various works for the project. Under high attention of DSIC leaders, DSIC Shipping Co. has gone all out to enable the whole project to kick off quickly and the project team to organize for further planning soon based on the requirements of construction and owner for this project. In project running, DSIC Shipping Co. has paid close attention to HSE, quality, progress and cost management so as to conduct the project in order. The project team has held regular project meeting and construction meeting each week, summing up the weekly work status and issues, and proposing some countermeasures; streamlining and arranging the work plan for next week, and analyzing and forewarning the risks and hidden dangers existed in later period of project running. As for professional issues occurred in the production process, the project team will organize relevant departments and staff to have a workshop so as to streamline the issues and define the solutions accordingly.
DSIC Shipping Co. has been highly affirmed by the owner in a series of efforts, where PIC from MODEC gave “ Three-zero Evaluation” of “Zero Accident, Zero Defect and Zero Pending Item” at the celebration ceremony of no accident for 2 million manhours on this project. Also, DSIC Shipping Co. has acquired a great number of addition works, for which the contract value is almost equivalent to two thirds of that for original contract. As agreed in the contract, the additional works will be delivered to the owner in the first half year of 2016. Therefore, DSIC Shipping Co. will continue to put into practice the guiding principles of “Ensuring Delivery, Strengthening Management and Reducing Cost” so as to ensure the entire project to deliver on schedule and win market credibility while working to raise the management level of offshore engineering production, boost internal soft powers and prepare for bagging follow-up projects.
